Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club Wedding Photos

As much as you try to prepare, sometimes the weather gets the best of you but it’s how you deal with it on your wedding day that truly shows who you are as a couple. It called for non-stop rain on the day of G+S’s wedding at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club. We made plans to make the best of a wet situation. We did their first look inside the bride’s parents’ home, which turned out gorgeous, and by the time the ceremony at Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church, the rain let up and we were able to take a few bridal party photos outside and on the beach at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club. With the help of planning and wedding coordination from The Wedding Sitter, Kim helped keep the couple happy and the day moving effortlessly as we traveled from venue to venue. Despite the rain, it was a magical wedding day filled with so much love and happiness, you would never know it was a soggy day in the Hamptons. I’m excited to share a few of my favorite images from their romantic wedding day. Enjoy!

The Bowery Hotel Wedding Photos in New York City

Located in the heart of New York City, The Bowery Hotel is one of the chicest wedding venues in all of the city. With its beautifully designed suites, private patios, cozy reception, and wall-to-ceiling windows, B+C knew this was the perfect place to host their black and white modern-inspired black tie winter wedding. The bride looked amazing in her Louvienne wedding dress and her glam team brought her modern-day elegance vision to life. Think if Audrey Hepburn was a blonde! The couple exchanged their first look in the warmth of their private suite and terrace before we walked around The Bowery for a few portraits. The couple rented a vintage yellow taxi cab to take them to and from the ceremony at the Church of St. Francis Xavier, and it was the perfect backdrop on a chilly winter day. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour at the bar and outside patio under the heat lamps before moving into the dining area for an elegant plated dinner. The band, 45 Riots, tore the dance floor from the moment they started to the moment the last song was announced. The couple danced, sang, and celebrated with their closest family and friends and it was an honor to be there with them documenting it all. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from their incredible wedding day. Enjoy!

The Rams Head Inn - Shelter Island Wedding Photos

If you are familiar with Shelter Island, you already know how special it is. How tranquil the landscape can be and it has a wonderful way of making you feel as if you are visiting a very special secluded location in New York. I grew up in Sag Harbor so I know just how special this place can be and I was so excited to be part of J + S’s special wedding day at The Rams Head Inn on Shelter Island. On a perfect Fall day with bright blue skies and a warm breeze blowing through the air, J+S shared one of their favorite places with their closest family and friends. They got ready on Shelter Island before we headed over to Sunset Beach for their first look. We traveled back to The Rams Head Inn for photos around the historic property before their outside wedding ceremony overlooking Shanty Bay. There was not a cloud in the sky! They enjoyed dinner and cocktails in the private backyard and we even got to sneak down to the beach for some incredible sunset photos. A clear tent encircled the guests before they danced the night away inside the venue. I’m delighted to share a few of my favorite images from their incredible wedding day.

New York Wedding Photographer - Gurney's Montauk

When you decide to host your wedding weekend at the end of the world (a.k.a. Montauk) you take a bit of a gamble with the weather. You hope for a perfect bluebird day with bright skies and lots of sun, and even if it does decide to rain, you embrace it and make incredible memories. That's what happened with Ashley and Brandon’s wedding at Gurney’s Montauk Seawater and Spa. The day called for rain, held off, and then right as the Bride was about to walk down the aisle, it started to rain. Guest were immediately covered with blue and clear umbrellas and the wedding party embraced the rain as they walked down the aisle on the open-air spa deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It rained for the entire ceremony and once they were pronounced husband and wife, it stopped and the entire wedding party cheered. The day was effortlessly coordinated by Lovely Indeed Events and the Spa Deck Tented reception was a mixture of blue and white linens, rattan accents, and lots and lots of florals. The hanging floral arrangement above the white dance floor was the centerpiece of the room. And can we talk about a dance party? The 45 Riots Band had everyone on their feet the entire wedding reception and took guests to the turtle room for the after-party. One of the best parts of being a New York Wedding Photographer is being able to document the lives of your couples who in turn become family. Ashley and Brandon are two of the kindest, sweetest, and most thoughtful couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I also captured her sister’s wedding a few years prior which made it even more special. It was an incredible wedding at Gurney’s Montauk Seawater Resort and Spa and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite images from their wedding day.

Canoe Place Inn & Cottages Wedding Photos

The weather called for rain all day but it quickly changed into perfect blue-grey skies which gave us the perfect backdrop for Emily and Peter’s wedding at Canoe Place Inn and Cottages in Hampton Bays, NY. The modern, fun, and beachy aesthetic of Canoe Place Inn was the perfect location to celebrate their marriage. The couple got engaged at Cooper’s Beach which is about 15 minutes from the wedding venue so it was really meaningful for them to revisit the beach for their wedding photos. Emily looked radiant in her Sareh Nouri wedding dress with applique white flowers and a cascading veil with a floral border. In honoring their Greek Orthodox traditions, they had their ceremony at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary located in Southampton, NY. I love the exchanging of the wedding crowns, walking around the altar, and declaring your love for your faith and spouse in such a beautiful church. Emily and Peter chose a palette of blue, whites, and hints of pink for their wedding decor, and Effortless Events, who’s based in Chicago, brought their vision to life at Canoe Place Inn and Cottages. Once the party officially kicked off, I don’t think anyone sat down at their seats till the party was over. One of the most fun parts of the evening was dancing the traditional money dance where everyone dances in a circle and throws money at the newlyweds to wish them luck. It was so much fun and I’m so honored to be part of their incredible wedding weekend. Here are a few of my favorite images from their beautiful wedding day!
