Micro Wedding in New York

Sometimes, in life, you have to just roll with the punches and make lemonade out of lemons that are beyond your control. When the pandemic guidelines starting to become more strict for gatherings and events, Ashley and Tim knew that their original wedding plans were going to have to be reimagined. The couple did not want to wait to get married so coming up with a plan b was top of mind.

The couple decided to throw an intimate, small micro wedding at their new home in new york. They held their outdoor ceremony in the front yard and wedding reception in their backyard. It might not have been what they initially planned but with an incredible vendor team, it was absolutely breathtaking. No detail was spared and it was even more romantic, meaningful, and emotional than anyone could have dreamt.

Ashley and Tim shared their first look on the front lawn of The Master’s School in Dobbs Ferry. They were married in front of a gorgeous floral ceremony arch with birchwood swathed in weeping wisteria, calla lilies, and long white orchids by Ruth Ridgewood Designs. Ashley and Tim had a clear canopy tent in their backyard so their guests could dine al fresco under the night sky. Wooden chairs, long farm tables, and lots of candlelight set the mood.

I’m so excited to share a few of my favorite images from their wedding day. Ashley and Tim’s wedding was also featured on Martha Stewart Weddings.

Classic Black Tie Wedding at JW Marriott Essex House in NYC

Every so often, I work with a couple who feels like family from the very first phone call. We get along as if we’ve known each other for years, and the day goes by so effortlessly that I thank my lucky stars they found me. This is exactly what being part of Kelly and Jared’s wedding at JW Marriott Essex House in New York City was like.

The bride began her day by getting ready with her bridesmaids, and mother in one of the private terrace suits at the Essex House. They had a private patio with incredible views overlooking the iconic Central Park. Kelly and Jared shared their private and emotional first look outside on the private patio before stepping into their vintage Royce Royce to head to their church wedding ceremony at The Church of St Paul the Apostle. The Priest that married the couple, was also the same priest that baptized Kelly and her sisters, so having him be part of their joyous day was truly special for the couple.

Kelly curated the best welcome gift bags for their guests that included lots of NYC stapes including individually wrapped New York State red apples, New York Pretzel Chocolate Bars from Dylan's Candy, and classic Yellow Taxi Cab sugar cookies. I had way too much styling these welcome bags on my Locust Collection rollable surfaces in their hotel suite.

After the happy couple was officially married(!!!), we headed inside Central Park for their family, bridal party, and finally their bride and groom portraits. It was crowded but when you walk around in a stunning Pronovias wedding dress with cathedral length veil, the crowds make room for you! We even were in the park for a seriously stunning golden hour sunset which is some of my favorite wedding photos from their entire day!

We soon arrived at the JW Marriott Essex House so the couple could enjoy a bit of their cocktail hour before their wedding reception inside the ballroom began. The couple took dancing lessons to practice for their first dance which had kelly up in the air and swinging from Jared's arms. Lots of Cheers and happy tears were shed when they entered the room to begin their wedding celebration! The couple had Hank Lane’s Brooklyn Sound band keep everyone on the dance floor from the very first song only taking breaks to eat and listen to speeches and toasts!

It was a true honor to be part of Kelly and Jared’s wedding day and I already know I’m going to be part of their lives forever. I cannot wait to see what is next for this incredibly loving couple! xo

Fall Central Park Engagement Photos in New York City

Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. I love the changing colors of the leaves, you get to wear sweaters and the light is absolutely the prettiest in New York City. I was so happy when Sue and Chris wanted to take their engagement photos in the beginning of September. We took full advantage of the empty streets and a quiet Central Park early in the morning. The American Museum of Natural History was the perfect location to begin their session because it's the exact spot where Chris got down on one knee and proposed to Sue. So sweet!! I'm thrilled to share a few of my favorite engagement photos from their session and I cannot wait for their wedding next year Brooklyn Botantic Garden. Enjoy! xo

New York City West Village Engagement Session

Spring in New York City is one of my favorite times of the year. Everything is finally back in bloom, the city is full with flowers and of course, happy couples about to get married. The West Village has so many hidden nooks and streets untraveled which was perfect for Catherine and Rob's engagement session. We got lost wandering the streets in Manhattan before making our way down to the west side piers to steal a few kisses along the water. I cannot wait for their wedding later this year at the Montauk Yacht Club. Enjoy!!

NYC Central Park Engagement Photos

Is there anything more romantic than walking through Central Park with your soon-to-be husband around sunset? I didn't think so! Alice and Mike's Fall Engagement Session in the park is absolutely picture perfect. We met along the 86th street entrance and made our way into the park's Great Lawn just in time for the golden light to sweep across the grass. I'm so excited to share a few of my favorite photos from their classic new york city engagement session and can't wait for their wedding later this year. Enjoy! xo
