Weddings at the Brooklyn Botantic Gardens are my absolute favorite. You are in the middle of one of the busiest boroughs in all of New York City, yet once you enter beyond the gates, you find yourself inside a luscious garden that is quiet, calm, and completely picturesque which is exactly why Marilyn and Dan wanted to get married at The Palm House! The bride got ready at the ever stunning Crosby Street Hotel located in SoHo, Manhattan. The hotel rooms have an eclectic decor and abundance of natural light which is a photographers dream. Marilyn wore her grandmothers gold necklace, which has been worn by all the women in her family on their own wedding days for three generations and counting! It is a true family heirloom.
The Bride wore a delicate lace embroidered wedding dress took everyone's breath away once she slipped it on. Dan and his groomsmen got ready at the couples apartment in historic Brooklyn Heights. Looking dapper in his tuxedo, he was excited to travel to Brooklyn Botanic Gardens for the couples first look in front of The Palm House. We took full advantage of the sun drenched magnolia plaza during their bride and groom portraits. Their wedding ceremony was held outside in front of a stunning tree just before sunset. Their priest was one of the funniest officiants ever and had everyone in attendance laughing out loud to his cheery annotates and clever analogies. Guests were treated to sunset cocktail hour outside on the terrace before the reception began inside stunning glass atrium of The Palm House.
One of the most memorable speeches was given by Marilyn's father. He gushed about his daughters accomplishments before recounting one of his favorite childhood memories of Marilyn in her swimsuit as a baby. He even brought it from home for everyone to see! Marilyn and Dan know how to d-a-n-c-e and had a great time on the dance floor while Hank Lane Band brought the house down - no one sat down during the reception! The Bride and Groom are just the sweetest, kindest and most thoughtful couple and I'm so honored I was a part of their wedding celebration! Congratulations Marilyn and Dan! xo

From the very first moment Jessica met John, she knew he was the one. They met at a small bistro in Brooklyn Heights and quickly became exclusive. During their courtship, they spent a lot of time in Montauk so when John proposed, they knew they wanted to celebrate their marriage in their favorite place in New York. The couple chose the stunning Montauk Yacht Club Resort and Marina for their nautical chic inspired wedding. Jessica's wore the most delicate and detailed Monique Lhuillier wedding dress I have ever seen. The intricate layers of tulle, lace, and silk fit her like a glove. She wore cream colored crystal encrusted Manolo Blahnik shoes and carried her grandmothers beaded clutch for her something borrowed. The couple prayed for good weather and the heaven's did not disappoint.
Crystal clear blue skies and bright sun shined throughout their wedding day which was the picture perfect backdrop for their outside ceremony. Jessica was moved to tears while reciting her wedding vows and John looked on with pure happiness that he was becoming her husband. All Who Wander Events coordinated and designed their wedding creating a seamless flow between events. Ava Flora created stunning wedding flowers for the entire wedding party, ceremony space and reception. After the ceremony, guests were treated to a sunset cocktail hour outside on the lawn overlooking the water before heading into the Farm Ballroom for the reception. The East CoastEast Coast BandBand brought the house down! Every single person danced on the dance floor and the Bride and Groom were having so much fun that they didn't want the night to end! I'm so honored and delighted to have been part of Jessica and John's wedding day. I knew from the moment we met, I wanted to be their wedding photographer and thrilled to call them friends. The Foundry is one of the most magical wedding venues in New York City. Between its a mix of romantic and industrial locations, it's a dream to photograph. Laura and Shevon began their love story inside the dorms of New York University. The happy couple is avid travelers who love to explore and decided to throw an intimate fete at The Foundry in Long Island City. Laura wore the most amazing structured wedding dress from Carol Hannah and jaw-dropping gold Christian Louboutin shoes. The groom and groomsmen got ready at The Foundry's greenhouse before the couple shared their first look outside on the private rooftop terrace. Shevon's reaction to seeing his beautiful bride to be was simply amazing to capture.
In the courtyard, we used the full advantage of the stunning ivy-covered walls and vintage cobblestone streets. I could have photographed them for hours! Ivie Joy Flowers created a simple yet stunning white bouquet for the bride and used lots of peach and pink blooms for their reception. Lots of happy tears were shed during their intimate wedding ceremony and the room exploded with cheers when Laura and Shevon shared their first kiss as husband and wife. The warm September evening was perfect for their tented outdoor reception. Guest enjoyed cocktail hour in the greenhouse before moving outside in the courtyard to enjoy dinner under the stars. I'm so honored I could be part of their modern, romantic, and very glamorous wedding day!
