Pippin Hill Farm Wedding Venue in Virginia

One of my all-time favorite wedding locations is Pippin Hill Farm wedding venue near Charlottesville, Virginia. The intimate property has so much to offer couples and their guests. It sits on top of a hill facing the Blue Ridge Mountains and has a private tasting room, reception space, and on-site vineyard. I wanted to share a few of my favorite spots for Pippin Hill Farm wedding photos.

The Granary

I think the most iconic photo is right in front of The Granary. When you arrive on the property it’s the first thing you see and it’s beautiful. The walkway is lined with beautiful Hydrangeas that are in peak bloom in August, which is when my client got married at Pippin Hill Farm. This is one of my favorite spots for bride and groom, bridal party, and family photos. With an iconic backdrop, every photo will be gorgeous!

Pippin Hill Bridal Suite

The Bridal Suite

Pippin Hill Farm’s bridal suite what dreams were made of. The light decor, elegant details, and huge front window give the space a warm and inviting feel. It has ample size for your bridal party and private space to slip your wedding gown on, before you enter the room for the final reveal.

Wedding Ceremony Location at Pippin Hill Farm

Have you ever seen a more scenic and breathtaking wedding ceremony location? Who wouldn’t want to get married outside with the Blue Ridge Mountains as your wedding ceremony backdrop. It’s truly iconic and you are pretty much guaranteed to have stunning wedding photos from every angle.

Bride and Groom Wedding Photos at Pippin Hill Farm and Winery

Wedding Photo Locations

Couples can take their wedding photos all around the property at Pippin Hill Farm. A few of my favorite spots for my couples photos are along the welcome path to The Granary, especially when the hydrangea’s are in bloom. Along the vines inside the properties vineyards and the reserve room veranda. I also love to take photos in front of the property with the mountains in the background. Every little spot you find is better than the last. There are so many little hidden gems on the property. It’s absolutely stunning!

The Veranda for Cocktail Hour

Guests are treated to an outside cocktail hour immediately following your wedding ceremony along the private veranda. It’s covered to shelter you (and your guests!) from the Virginia summer heat. Guests can sit along the lawn chairs, walk the grounds, and enjoy wine from Pippin Hill’s Winery.

Reception Photos inside the Granary at Pippin Hill Farm

Wedding Reception Inside The Granary

Inside the all-white granary, the couple can design their reception space with their wedding designers and planners. The vaulted ceilings and light decor give the space a very light and airy feeling. A good photo tip is that the white walls also make a great space for family photos inside the air-conditioned venue during the Summer. Just in case a few family members want to stay out of the heat!

Capacity: Up to 250 guests will enjoy an unbelievable experience at Pippin Hill Farm.

Cedar Lakes Estate Wedding Venue in New York

One of my all-time favorite wedding venues is the beautiful Cedar Lakes Estate tucked away in the Hudson Valley of New York. As an NYC wedding photographer, nothing makes me more excited than to get outside the city and photograph a stunning wedding surrounded by nature. Cedar Lakes Estate used to be a family camp but the two sisters transformed it into one of the most sought-after luxury wedding venues. I wanted to share a few of my favorite spots for wedding photos, ceremony locations, and some tips when you visit the site.

Favorite Locations for Cedar Lakes Estate Wedding Photos

It’s safe to say that you can’t take a bad photo at Cedar Lakes Estate but they do have a few spots that I truly love visiting for my couple’s wedding photos.

The private lake

The private lake might just be my favorite spot. They have a short dock that you can walk on to get sweeping views of the Adirondacks.

The Amphitheater

The Amphitheater is also another great location because of the way the light hits the restored deck around sunset. I also love the raised platform on the property for wedding party photos and a flat green lawn next to the platform is perfect for a large wedding party photo (see above) and first looks between the couple.

The Cottages

Oh, and there are a few white cottages on-site and one even has a swing in front which can make for some pretty romantic photos as well!

Rehearsal Dinners

I love that you can host your Rehearsal Dinner at Cedar Lakes Estates. Enjoy a private dining experience outside under the twinkle lights in the chef’s garden or at the Open-Air Pavillion.

Luxury Cabin at Cedar Lakes Estate

Guest Lodging & Activities

All of your wedding guests can stay on the property at one of the 16 luxury cottages or camp-style cabins. Your guests can enjoy making s’mores at the fire pit when the sun goes down and not have to worry about how they will get home. They’ll have access to the entire site during your wedding weekend including the pool, lake, and the Blop (a HUGE floaty to jump off on!) and make a splash into the lake!

Wedding Ceremony Locations

You have a few options to have your wedding ceremony on the Cedar Lakes Estate property. You can get married at the Mountaintop overlooking the Shawangunk Mountains or at the Outdoor Amphitheater overlooking the lake, which is especially beautiful at sunset. The lake just sparkles with the light!

Poolside Patio - Cocktail Hour at Cedar Lakes Estate

Cocktail Hour Locations

You cannot go wrong with having your cocktail hour at the Open Air Pavilion or Poolside Patio. It’s a short walk to the Barn for your wedding reception.

Barn Wedding Reception Venue at Cedar Lakes Estate

Inside the spacious renovated and airconditioned Barn, you’ll barnwood walls, lights of natural light, crystal chandeliers, handmade barnwood tables, and a huge bar from the prohibition era. There is a ton of room for dancing with your guests, your wedding band or DJ, and a photo booth to create the perfect selfies for Instagram. Most couples choose to create huge hanging installations inside of the barn to dress up the space, even more, to wow their guests from the moment they walk in. It’s an incredible location to host your wedding!

Gurney's Montauk Wedding Photos

Montauk is simply a magical place! The ocean, the beach town, the relaxed vibe, and its all beauty really are the perfect backdrop for any couple to fall in love. Chelsea and Ben love the Hamptons and it was really important for them to celebrate their marriage at their favorite location, Gurney’s Montauk Resort and Seawater Spa.

The bride got ready in her private suite at Gurney’s before putting on the most beautiful couture wedding gown from Mira Zwillinger. This incredible Gigi ballgown was covered with Degrade Appliquéd Flowers that looked incredible on the bride to be. Ben and his groomsmen got ready in the Regent Cocktail Club before the couple exchanged their private first look in a hidden location on the edge of the resort. It was so sweet, romantic, and special for the couple to share a few private moments with each other before the pace of the day truly picked up.

AvaFloral created the most stunning coral cascading bridal bouquet for Chelsea. We had so much fun on the beach taking their bride and groom photos and bridal party portraits. The couple held their ceremony outside on the Forward Deck overlooking the ocean just before sunset. One of Ben’s childhood best friends is also a Pastor and they asked him to officiate their wedding which was so special for the couple. As they exchanged vows, laughs, and their first kiss as husband and wife was celebrated with loud cheers of excitement by all of their guests. It was so exciting! Their wedding reception was held in the gorgeous white tent and Atomic Funk Project brought down the house. I absolutely loved being part of Chelsea and Ben’s love story from their engagement, to the wedding, and I know for many years to come. I’m so happy for this wonderful couple to enjoy being married to each other for the rest of their lives! xo

If you love Gurneys, don’t miss all of my favorite wedding venues in the Hamptons.

Testimonial from my wonderful couple:

“Working with Jaine was a dream. We first met during our engagement shoot, where she made us feel so comfortable during a bit of an unfamiliar experience. We were laughing the whole way through, and the photos came out fantastic! Over the course of the year leading up to our wedding, Jaine was professional, responsive, and kind. We were lucky to have her as a part of our entire wedding weekend, and she and her team made everyone involved in our wedding feel totally at ease. She is warm-hearted and was extremely organized on our wedding day, which I truly appreciated. We have received "sneak peaks" from our special day and they made us cry all over again. We cannot wait to see our full suite because we know that the photos will be BEYOND gorgeous. Lucky to have met Jaine throughout this process and know we will be in touch for a long time. ” - Chelsea and Ben

Classic Black Tie Wedding at JW Marriott Essex House in NYC

Every so often, I work with a couple who feels like family from the very first phone call. We get along as if we’ve known each other for years, and the day goes by so effortlessly that I thank my lucky stars they found me. This is exactly what being part of Kelly and Jared’s wedding at JW Marriott Essex House in New York City was like.

The bride began her day by getting ready with her bridesmaids, and mother in one of the private terrace suits at the Essex House. They had a private patio with incredible views overlooking the iconic Central Park. Kelly and Jared shared their private and emotional first look outside on the private patio before stepping into their vintage Royce Royce to head to their church wedding ceremony at The Church of St Paul the Apostle. The Priest that married the couple, was also the same priest that baptized Kelly and her sisters, so having him be part of their joyous day was truly special for the couple.

Kelly curated the best welcome gift bags for their guests that included lots of NYC stapes including individually wrapped New York State red apples, New York Pretzel Chocolate Bars from Dylan's Candy, and classic Yellow Taxi Cab sugar cookies. I had way too much styling these welcome bags on my Locust Collection rollable surfaces in their hotel suite.

After the happy couple was officially married(!!!), we headed inside Central Park for their family, bridal party, and finally their bride and groom portraits. It was crowded but when you walk around in a stunning Pronovias wedding dress with cathedral length veil, the crowds make room for you! We even were in the park for a seriously stunning golden hour sunset which is some of my favorite wedding photos from their entire day!

We soon arrived at the JW Marriott Essex House so the couple could enjoy a bit of their cocktail hour before their wedding reception inside the ballroom began. The couple took dancing lessons to practice for their first dance which had kelly up in the air and swinging from Jared's arms. Lots of Cheers and happy tears were shed when they entered the room to begin their wedding celebration! The couple had Hank Lane’s Brooklyn Sound band keep everyone on the dance floor from the very first song only taking breaks to eat and listen to speeches and toasts!

It was a true honor to be part of Kelly and Jared’s wedding day and I already know I’m going to be part of their lives forever. I cannot wait to see what is next for this incredibly loving couple! xo

Liberty Warehouse Wedding Photos

College sweethearts, that were meant to be, decided to tie the knot at The Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The day started off with perfectly blue skies, love in the air, and excitement between both happy families.

The Groom got ready at The Beekman Hotel with his groomsmen before heading to The Liberty Warehouse to share a private first look with his Bride under the iron terrace. Ali wore a stunning fitted wedding dress from Pronovias and crystal detailed shoes from Rene Caovilla. Ali’s bridesmaids wore different styles of Blush bridesmaids dresses from Birdy Grey and the groomsmen all looked handsome in their black tuxedo’s from The Black Tux.

Water taxi’s passed in the background as the couple said their wedding vows as the sun began to set along the Hudson River. Their outside summer ceremony was picture perfect as Lady Liberty herself was looking on in the background. The Liberty Warehouse is located on a pier in Red Hook that has one of the most unique and stunning views of New York City’s iconic skyline. Emotional vows, promises of forever, and happy tears were all shed once the couple was pronounced husband and wife.

These two are the kindest, sweetest, and most loving couple I’ve had the pleasure of working with and I’m so honored to have been part of their love story from engagement party, engagement session, rehearsal dinner, and their wedding!
