The Green Building Wedding Photos in Brooklyn

On a perfect day in Brooklyn, two college sweethearts got married in front of their closest family and friends. The bright blue skies started off their wedding day on the right note as Luisa got ready at the new 1 Hotel at the foot of Brooklyn Bridge Park. It has breathtaking sweeping views of the New York City skyline and Brooklyn Bridge. The Brides sisters gifted Luisa a stunning pair of Bella Belle shoes and commissioned an artist to hand paint a bottle of Veuve Clicquot with meaningful locations to the couple including where they got engaged.

The groom waited patiently in front of The River Cafe garden to exchange their first look. This location is very special to the couple because it’s where Rich asked Luisa to be his wife! We visited the iconic DUMBO waterfront for their bride and groom photos. We visited St. Anne’s Warehouse, Jane’s Carousel, and stood in front of the Brooklyn Bridge. Their bridal party arrived and we took their photos by the beautiful brick openings at St. Anne’s Warehouse.

The couple got married at an intimate wedding ceremony at St. Mary Star of the Sea in Cobble Hill before heading over to The Green Building for their wedding reception. It was the perfect night to enjoy the outside patio for cocktail hour. To celebrate the Brides Mexican heritage, bits of Mexican flare were all over the green building. From the white Papel flags after their wedding ceremony, to strings of flags decorating the cocktail hour space. The couple gifted their guests hand painted Mexican morocco’s designed with their wedding dates. Such a wonderful touch for an incredible couple!

The Green Building Wedding Inspiration Photos

I'm a preppy girl at heart. I love j.crew, grosgrain ribbon and just about everything and anything pink. Taking inspiration from an old kate spade ad, I wanted to put together a fall themed, english preppy inspiration shoot with a few of my favorite wedding vendors. I've been dying to photograph a wedding at The Green Building in Brooklyn so I was thrilled when they said we could have our shoot there. I absolutely love their outdoor ceremony space, rustic yet modern reception room with floor ceiling glass doors that let in the prettiest light and of course, the permanent string light fixtures.

I envisioned a bright, colorful and romantic wedding that incorporated textures, colors and of course, fun. I asked Hannah of Hanalulu Co. to come on board as our wedding stylist. She was tasked with bringing my vision to life and boy, did she nail it! Jackie of Sincerely, Jackie designed a new stationery suite just for our bride and groom that had delicate accents and bold patterns. Jee of Blush Designs created simply stunning wedding bouquets, table arrangements, a pink flower crown and boutonnieres for the groom that made my heart sing. Have you ever seen a more gorgeous raspberry pink bouquet? We were completely inspired by Octavia and Brown custom topiary covered table. Our bride wore Winifred Bean's romantic Tulip dress and our Groom wore a grey tweed suit from Suitable. Nine cakes created a one of a kind pink tiered wedding cake.

Oh and our adorable Bride and Groom? They are a real couple getting married and just the sweetest! Together with our incredible team of vendors, we created this playful and inviting faux wedding that anyone could easily recreate on their own. Fall doesn't have to be just red, orange and yellow. Think deep hues, raspberry pinks, emerald greens, tweeds for him and blazer's for her. We hope to inspire you and happy planning! xoxo
